Maxima better than Camry? Give me a break

The two best cars I have ever owned was a Toyota Camry, 244, 000 miles with no major repairs. Sold it to a friend, who recently told me it had 330, 000+ mile on it. And one repair. My Honda just keeps on going and going. It is at 137, 000 miles. As long as they run I'll drive them until the wheels fall off.

The most durable cars are the ones you take care of.

Honda Odyssey is wonderful because of its bulletproof 3.5 yet, 2000-2003 they were riddled with transmission problems, namely an input sprag failure. When I rebuild these transmissions I replace the sprag with an early gm 700r4 sprag. Fits perfectly, doesn't fail.

2004 Toyota Corolla with 306K miles. No repair work done on the inside of the engine or transmission. Best car I've ever owned by a long shot.

I've owned a mercedes, toyota, honda, ford and a chevy and didn't have much problems with any of them. It helps that I'm a old person that doesn't push their cars hard and I religiously do all my maintenance myself. It really comes down to maintenance, if you take care of your car your car will take care of you. I have friends and family that didn't even know that their transmissions require service! Some of the late 90's and early 2000's mercedes require transmission maintenance at 49, 000 miles! And that's with synthetic fluid!

I've got a 97 outback and it still runs like new at 300k.

Best 500 bucks I've ever spent.

Precision built engines can make an ugly car beautiful. There is nothing quite like the sound of an engine starting every, every, every time you turn the key.

Subarus have head gasket problems and the Odyssey had big transmission problems...

I had a 2003 Honda Odyssey EX-L as a hand me down from my parents when I got my drivers license, we sold it in 2016 with around 196, 500 miles on it. It was a great van with only very few minor issues. We had it for 14 years! Bought it brand new in 2002.

My Camry is 19 years old and has over 413, 000 miles ( >665, 000 Km ) on it. Original engine, transmission, etc. Almost every day I see Camrys on the road which are older than mine (mileage might not always be quite as high).

@AMGV Media - The Crown Vic is NOT popular with fleet services because of its reliability (maybe in spite of its reliability). It is very popular because of its size and its body-on-frame construction. In a fender-bender, the Crown Vic typically only requires bodywork, and frame alignments are much less likely than on unibody cars (practically all other cars and small-to-medium-sized SUVs on the road).

The catch is that the Crown Vic has to be dented at the front or side. Crown Vics (and their corporate triplets - the Grand Marquis & Towncar) are very well known for spontaneously combusting when tapped from behind. 1970's technology being built and sold up until 2011/2012 almost cost me a very good friend who was a driver for an executive sedan/limo service. I have pictures of the roasted Towncar he escaped with mere seconds to spare. Many Police widows organizations have sued Ford over the conflagration deaths of many LEOs. The Police Department in the city of Farmers Branch, TX (a city near me) has equipped all their Crown Vic Interceptors with an aftermarket fire suppression system to help ensure the safety of their LEOs.

@ckmkv - The Odyssey is a car-based minivan and is approved by NYC's TLC (Taxi & Limousine Commission) for use as a Taxi. I think the Sienna shares these honors, but does not make CNET's top five here.

This list is just stupid. Any car can last forever as long as you take care of it, service it and make sure to deal with the rust.
