The GMC Envoy XUV got it's design from the Studebaker Wagonaire. I remember when I was 13 I found a brochure of the 2004 Envoy XUV inside the Staten Island Advance newspaper.

Where does this guy get a total number of 5, 020 Azteks sold? Pretty sad excuse for journalism when anyone can google that information and find out in about 2 seconds with your first search hit that the actual number of Azteks sold was just under 120, 000 total American sales, which with world wide sales would be even more then that. I know for sure there was alot of them on the road in Canada as well as Mexico as I have been to both places and have seen Azteks on the roads.

My dad had a Studebaker Wagoneer, he left it too me. It’s in great condition too.

How the hell is the Chevrolet SSR not on this list? It fits the criteria perfectly of giving consumers a platform they didn't want and it didn't sell well.

The Prowler was cool, but it needed a V8. If Chrysler waited a few more years the Hemi was what it really needed. I dont even like to look at an Aztec it hurts my eyes and brain.

hahahaha I was expecting the Aztec to be on here!!!! Saw a LIncoln Blackwood for the first time last weekend. They don't look bad, but I don't understand their purpose.

I've seen a decent amount of Azteks. I saw a Lincoln Blackwood once, it was painted white though. I've seen a few Prowlers.

I saw a Lincoln Blackwood in white with a windshield sticker that said "WHITEWOOD" in 2002. It was the only time I've ever seen a Lincoln Blackwood in person. These odd trucks could become a collectors vehicle in the future for their rarity and odd ergonomics (non-removable pickup cover, 4X2 RWD only, $54, 990 original MSRP, rear pin striping [did I forget anything else???]). The Plymouth Prowler was meant to be a limited production vehicle. The main problem was the powertrain: V-6 and 4AT.

The Aztec really wasn't as much of a mess as it has been credited for being. Yes, I hated it at first too but I have to credit GM for trying to create a crossover out of a minivan. It could have been a smash hit if they had just styled it a bit better. The the idea of an active lifestyle crossover is sound... It was just ahead of its time. Would I buy a used Aztec? Not likely.

What's so bad about the Aztek? It looks fine to me. The issue I have is that a few years later there's a lot of similar looking cars, like the 3rd gen Prius. And what do people think? "Mmm... not bad."

Prowler looks like a PT cruiser on steroids

I didn't know the aztec sold so little, I saw hundreds of them on the road where I live

Brian, people in American "ghettos" couldn't afford a Lincoln Blackwood. So perhaps your referring to the German ghettos?
