A deep breath before an action can help collect ones thoughts. Outside of relationships this can also apply to things like buying stuff out of impulse or making a decision to get rid of the stress from choosing. I usually give myself a day or week to think stuff over if I am really after something. A calm mind makes the best decisions.

By not living strictly just through my 5 stimuli sensees alone & being more multi Sensory, I become less reactive toThe External World, this increases My INTUITIVE faculty & makes Me more Serene & in control of My Emotions.This also helps Me not Externalize My POWER to External events or other circumstances{ Out There }.This takes "PERFECT PRACTICE, "for it is (perfect practice)that makes perfection, not just Practice alone.《Perfect Practice》 has been Underrated☆

I learned from book of Mark Manson's "Everything is fucked" that there are two brains one is "Feeling brain" and one is "Thinking brain" and believe it or not i read this last Night.
And Marks explains with very solid and real examples how our feeling brain aka Emotional brain controls our Action and behavior and to stop action based on emotion only which is destructive we should let our thinking brain (which is logical) communicate with our feeling brains.
And this really helps me understand when i am acting out of emotion and when i am being mindful

Most important thing is to honour your emotions fully. If children were taught this from birth I think we’d have a very different world.

I loved every bit of this! I started therapy a year ago and being able to talk out my emotions has helped me respond to my emotions and thoughts. I now have control of them! I am able to get to a settled state and begin the process of finding the root of my feelings rather than acting out in ways that will potentially harm myself and others.

The 4 things I do: Eat just two meals a day (12hr in-between) with little SUGAR!, At least 6 hr of sleep, 30 min of meditation daily and I stay away from NEGATIVE people!

I'm the type of person that remains calm no matter what the situation is. I don't know if that's always a good thing, but that's just how I am.

When I act out when people are shitty towards me it gets the better of me especially when a lot gets bottled up then I just go on it straight away
