Traumatic events can happen to everyone. It’s common. According to the National Center for PTSD, 7-8% of the U.S. population will have PTSD at some point in their lives. Trauma is not a disorder. It is an emotional response to an unexpected and terrible event where you felt that your physical safety and well-being were at risk. Some symptoms of psychological trauma are more subtle than you think.

Some traumas aren't visible, but it's still alive on that person's mind. Be kind :)

I am often stressed for thinking about that my friends don’t like me and think that i’m annoying. Even if they say that isn’t true and they appreciate my company.
My mind often goes to that and overthinks things and I don’t know how to solve it. I don’t know why my mind does this, but it happens usually every day at some point.

I've been diagnosed by a professional with PTSD along with others. This just came out for me and yesterday on the bus my abusive ex got on the same bus and I freaked out. I had to constantly remind myself that I wasn't back there anymore. I hope there's ways to hopefully get past it. I don't really feel safe right now to take the bus. I hope everyone else can get through and know it's not forever

That last sign of mental trauma sounds alot like a friend of mine, A large majority of their social life is mostly online and they hardly interact with anyone in person. They come from a life where their family tends to fight with each other. I want to help them but I just don't know how. They used to be very caring and loving, Now they tend to ignore everyone in person and just talk to people online. If theres one thing I've realized is that its insane of how much can change in a year period. Edit: This video has helped me gain a better insight on what someone may be going through.

I had all of those when I was younger, especially the anxiety. I was resentful as well.

I hate the fact that my way of coping with trauma is humor, I have bad responses to trauma but I just joke about it, and that's why people just assume that I'm alright and when I ACTUALLY ask for help, no one listens

"It should of been me" is definitely what I think often. She deserved to live. She was so young and what happened shouldn't of. Logically it should of been me as well, because I'm more prone to it than she was, and it's unfair. She had so much ahead of her and I'm just a useless nothing. I don't deserve to be here.

Why it's so easy to express our problems and emotions in the online world than in the actual world?

Currently, I'm living in a house with some people to take care of me and I sometimes find it hard to walk or my elbows or knees hurt. Now I may know why, because my body seems just fine.
To all of you amazing potatos: Get enough rest, water and food, beacuse that's what I want you to do.
