Dani, thank you for sharing this message! Just like many viewers in the comments, I have struggled with my body for the past two years ever since I injured my back, was put on steroids and treatments that have promoted some serious weight gain along with depression and I realized that my new "normal" isn't what I was used to. This video has changed my mind set on my body and I will now listen to my body and do what feels right...not what looks like that image of the perfect body we all have in our heads.
Thank you so much :) blessings and best wishes!

Absolutely right! My fav exercise is the eliptical machine outside in the mornings. Just 30 min. 5 days a week. I don't have to force myself to do this. I feel energized and tend not to want to submarine myself with junk food for the rest of the day. That keeps me around 130-135 lbs which, even though I am only 5'3'', still feels great. Thank you for the video :)

Thank you for making this video! I really needed to hear this message. Lately I haven't been appreciating my body and all it is and all it does for me. Instead I've been comparing myself to others and wishing that I was more fit and stronger. Watching this video reminded me to think more about how I feel and less about how I look.

I'm a fairly new subscriber and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate this video. I had been yo-yo dieting for years and struggling with body image issues and I have finally started to accept my body the way it is and strive for health over vanity. Thank you!

Thank you! I seriously think you would do an amazing Ted Talks. Everyone needs to hear this so they can be healthy, but also learn to love their natural body. Super inspiring.

I really needed this video. I've gotten to a point in my life where I'm too caught up in how I look and not how I feel. I need to reevaluate things.

I love this message I'm still in the middle of a weight loss journey myself and it's the most success I've ever had with it because i started with the goal of feeling better not getting to a set weight. I've lost over 30 pounds now but according to the scale for the past month I've hit a hard plateau staying the same or up or down by half a pound. However I've continued to feel healthier over that time so because the number on the scale was not my only metric i was measuring success by i didn't get discouraged. I don't think I've hit a set point though I suspect that since I've become more active due the weather being better and having more energy that my flabby body is finally starting to build up some muscle tone and while I'm still loosing fat I'm not loosing weight.

17 yrs ago I learned about white bread and Hydrogenated oils. I took them out of my diet completely. About 5 yrs ago my tummy had problems so I omitted milk and switched to Almond milk. 2 yrs ago I started using hemps seeds and chia seeds more in my diet. I try to make healthy meals. But I LOVE my treats. I am 43,  5'1, and have weighed 135-140 for the past 17 yrs. I believe EVERYTHING you have said. it is all moderation. I don't deprive myself but I am smart about what and when I choose to eat something. Great vlog!!!

Dani, I once met someone who said their mother raised them not to think so much about what they should/shouldn't eat but how they felt after they ate and remember that being a foreign concept to me. I've eaten primarily from an emotional place and less from a physical place so I've never thought about how my body feels after eating certain foods (unless it makes me sick). I'm 49, 5'4", 225 pounds (down 5 this past week). I'm embarking on my own "100 days of summer" (Mem Day to Lab Day) and making lifestyle changes to look/feel better as I head into my 50's. You said we often go to our head to figure out how we feel and not really into our body. I can relate! I think my head and body are disconnected....seriously. I've filled my head with so much information about healthy eating, weight loss, macros, etc from years of being unhappy in my body yet I don't think I've really consulted my body during that process. Not even sure where or how to begin. Can you recommend any resources to help?
