A 15 minute yin yoga class to help you relax from your day.

Welcome to Day 2 of the Evening Yoga Movement! This class will be a short yin yoga class to target the connective tissues and fascia of the body for deep relaxation. In yin yoga, poses are held for about 2-3 minutes per side. The intention is to relax our muscles and let ourselves sink into the pose. Yin yoga is also a fantastic style of yoga for flexibility. You should be ready for bed after this 15 min yin yoga evening stretch.

Tonight's affirmation: I did my best today and that’s enough

No props are required and this is suitable for all levels. We'll explore poses like reclined butterfly, banana, reclined pigeon and half happy baby.

I picked a random evening yoga routine because I was struggling with class work and needed a break mentally and physically. The affirmation "I did my best today and that was enough" was exactly what I needed tonight. Thank you for making this two years ago.

I just finished my 1st 15' bedtime yoga routine. And this is only the 2nd time I've done yoga with Kassandra. I'm 73 and have the stiffness to prove it, so some of the poses are difficult to get into. But Kassandra ia a wonderful teacher, very positive and affirming. She goes slowly and allows plenty of time to go through the various poses and to change from one to another. For beginners like me, she makes yoga very appealing and doable. She is continually positive and supportive.

It’s funny how the right yoga practice always finds you at the right time. I needed a yin yoga gentle hug and this certainly fit the bill. It was certainly what I needed after a challenging day of work and I hadn’t realised how much emotion I’d been holding onto and with quite a few of these moves opening up the hips where we hold a lot of emotion the tears just flowed! I was proper sobbing on my mat as I was doing half happy baby pose. There was nothing that had upset me today, but I have a lot going on and it would have been my dad’s birthday on Monday next week if he was still here today. Sometimes we just need a good cry and lean into it and then you feel so much better. I think the affirmation “I did my best today and that’s enough” triggered the tears too as I think today was possibly more challenging than I had allowed myself to feel. Deep breath. I did well today and tomorrow is a new day of possibilities and adventures. Namaste xo

I recently made a bunch of big life changes, including a new job as an OR nurse- at the end of my days I’m stressed and feel there’s no time for my yoga- this is such a beautiful way to start incorporating my practice back into my life- the first night was just what I needed! I can’t wait to try this one! I’m very grateful for Kassandra!

It's actually late afternoon here in England, but I've just done this practice, and am looking forward to a chilled out Good Friday evening. Been gardening today so this is a fitting continuation of the chilled out theme!
