Hip openers are a great way to gain flexibility along with releasing hip and lower back tension. The hips tend to hold a lot of physical stress but also emotional stress. When we begin to release hip tension we begin to release stagnant energy and physical pain. This is why you may feel emotional when practicing hip stretches.
