Complete transcript: Simple steps to free your body from trauma

This is a way to release trauma from your body.
It's called TRE (Trauma release exercise)
Stand against a wall on your toes for 30 seconds- 2 minutes on your toes.
Let your muscles and body get fatigued.
You will start to shake. Take slow, steady breaths.
This is your body discharging sympathetic energy.
You might want to cry or yawn. Take a deep breath and feel the calm afterward.

When I first started lifting weights I would cry uncontrollably. I read that it’s a way of releasing built up emotions. I found it quite amazing. It’s been 3 years and I’m still lifting to help with my mental health.

Thanks for giving this for free, not like others who charge for classes.

I used to do this instinctively in class( my parents fought constantly and my home was chaos) and I would get in trouble because it was "distracting". Makes me so angry and I am so glad that more teachers and educators are trauma informed today

Ive seen military veterans who were snipers have the most amazing healing from TRE exercises. The release of energy in their shooting arm drops them to their knees in tears. Its a beautiful moment of healing. The mind blowing part is that TRE is only 8 exercise and when you lay down to release upon completion it can be like a fish out of water flopping, jumping, shaking. One of the simplest forms to move stored trauma. Love this method! Thanks for sharing, its been awhile since I did a TRE session.♥️

Pushing yourself with exercise is an amazing way to release trauma. Boxing has been so therapeutic for me.

Growing up I would get up early on Saturdays sneak out of the house and ride my bike for hours sometimes watching the sun come up. It was calming and I could imagine a different life.

It's better to lie down on the floor after this with the knees bent and the feet pressed to the floor.. and let the body shake.
David Berceli has a few videos on YouTube on how his method works. Some pretty strong emotional releases can be achieved.

Your calves are like a second heart, so anything stimulating them is beneficial, even tiptoeing for a few seconds. Great video!

At church last Sunday Night the pastor put her hand over my body and I felt a BALL of loving vibrant energy surge thru out my whole entire body like a ping pong ball and my body got really light my hands went over my head waving around it felt so amazing as this heavy dense energy left my body .I let out a big scream and I also had someone behind me with arms wide open holding me as my body released all the dark attachments. Most freedom I have ever experiencend my entire life. It was as if a dark stubborn rope of illness and despair was being pulled out of my mouth and my spirit was lifted 😭 god showed me a panoramic vision of his love for me and I cried for 15 minutes. I have never felt so free in my life 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I hurt all over from moving homes for the third time this year. The emotional and physical pain has been tremendous. I crashed so hard yesterday after lugging all my stuff down a flight of stairs and across town once again, and having to watch my cat be confused and adjust to a new home once again. It's too much, but especially during the holidays. Wishing everyone release from pain and stress, and for a peaceful closing to this rough year <3

Edit: Thank you for the pouring of love from everyone. Wasn't expecting that. I really appreciate this channel so much and everything it has taught me. It's really helped me feel less alone ❤

Wish I could do this but I have very dodgy knees, so even if I got into that position, I wouldn't be able to straighten up again! The body definitely holds trauma, and emotional pain becomes physical pain. The day before my husband's funeral I was in agony all over. Literally everything hurt. I was a total mess and couldn't stop crying. My osteopath gave me a double appointment and started off with a big hug! ❤ She worked through all my muscles with massage and released everything. She really helped me so much, bless her! I slept well and coped the following day. Thank you for posting techniques that can help people before they get totally overwhelmed.

Whatever day I've had, I always sleep better when I've worked hard physically at something. Cleaning or exercise or moving boxes...😮

Chi kung (chinese discipline) offers many many exercises for different things, similar to this shown in this video (get relaxed, get more energy, release anger, etc) Please search that. It's so old and yet most people don't know it. And thank you Nicole for your work. ❤

Cannot begin to tell you all how truly effective this is! I don't even (now) have to fatigue my muscles to begin the shaking...just lie down, legs together then drop legs slowly apart and the shaking begins...I let it go where it needs to in my body to do the release...longest I let it go for was over 45 mins...was exhausted, calm & gratified...following Dr. Bercelli (his method here) on YT- but thanks to this psychologist for her genius tips!

This is great! I will try this out. Earlier tonight I sat with myself in my feelings. My head was leaning downward into my chest. I felt the deep warmth of my body temperature rise and embraced that feeling of frustration, annoyance, and anger. I focused on my breathing to regulate my emotions. I’m very proud of myself for choosing not to overreact. Afterwards, I made myself tea, lit a lavender candle, and I’m now in bed back to feeling calm. Thank you as always for your amazing content!
