It's important to refer the people who vent to you to another outlet, so they still have somewhere to go. As draining as they are, they too need mental health support when you can't help them.

I took a mental health break from school this past semester with the thought process that I would get to pour into myself, and instead, the past couple of months have been chaotic. However, through this journey, I realized how much of a people pleaser I was. It helped me to realize the desire to change and set boundaries. I will definitely be checking that video out next. I am in the headspace now where I refuse to allow people to disrupt my peace anymore. Thank you for this video and the amazing advice you give.
