In the Philippines cherries/berries are imported so they are expensive. Whole grain food like oatmeal is good for cholesterol but not for uric acid. 😊
Leafy vegetables some doctors say do not eat spinach. 🤔

I had gout for 25 years in much pain started carnivore diet and haven’t had gout since worst advice is to eat grains and any high carb foods sugars
I tried all the cherries fruits only made it worse thank you

I really like cod
I get it frozen n put some water in shallow pan and steam itno n oil needed
I make a lil of my own tartar sauce
I tbls mayo half tsp dill relish some garlic powder n onion dash rice vinegar n bit brown mustard

If I have white nodules that appear on the lower sides of my heel, that protrude out, is this likely gout? I am planning to see a doctor as soon as I can afford. My middle toe is also swollen and just under the skin I can some white circles in my toes

Whole grains trigger gout flares for me, white I have to careful with. I have weakened kidneys so have to be careful with oranges. You should be more specific on the type of yogurt.

The most offending foods are any animal protein. I will not even try fish as my pain was so bad I was in a wheelchair. My mother also gad gout and the certain types of arthritis appears to be heritable.

I am dairy intolerant too. Getting off all dairy really helped me. I have been a vegan for years. Lost weight and feel great, no more pain!

I even take long walks, like 5 miles a day! It is important that we fine tune what works and does not work for us. For me, oatmeal kept me from losing the weight I needed to lose, so I don’t eat it.

I have found to eat as little fat as I can as I am also hypothyroid. So I eat a few olives a day, avocado is too rich for me, will have a little once a month. With hypothyroid, I can put on weight easily. So I eat foods that frill my stomach with fiber and bulk. It works for me. I lost 80 lbs. with walking.

If u suffer from gout, concentrate your efforts on metabolic syndrome.
Diet MUST be fixed!!
Forget calories……count carbs and all the various types of sugars, especially hidden sugars and their various names.

Thats a first, my doctor advised against all fish as it is high in purines.

This is incorrect information. Don’t consume anything with fructose if you’re having gout attacks. The conflicting information I have received about gout from several rheumatologist is mind boggling. It seems like 0.1% actually know anything about it.

Also avoid carbs and eating too frequently as insulin spikes affects your kidneys ability to excrete gout efficiently
