That is why the spiritual path is lonely. I don't mind that I lose friends as quickly as I find them when they realize that I'm a peaceful person, except only when I have to protect myself. And I love helping people. I am humbled every time somebody comes to me and asks for my help, And I do everything I can to guide that person to live the life of their dreams. So, I quickly realized that most people are not the type of friends that I want to have and that I would rather be on my path than a path that everybody else is following just because it is well-worn.
