As a college senior I also have some advice. Don’t be worried if it takes later into college until u find your “people.” I feel like I have become closest to some amazing people just in the past year. When you’re in your major classes (especially as an upperclassman), you’ll see the same people regularly. I had several classes with this one girl and now she’s one of my best friends. I also really regret not going out more and having fun experiences as a freshman and a lot of sophomore year. Don’t be afraid to go to a new club like he mentioned, but challenge yourself and try to go alone! You never know who u might meet

Love these vids sm 😭😭😭 here's a another tip, instead of rushing right into making friends, try talking to a bunch of people one by one, my advice would be to compliment them on small things like music choice if you like it, or maybe even their outfit if it suits your style. You may find that some of them gradually gravitate towards your interest more and try to form a deeper connection with them, like asking what they like to do for fun and building a convo from that. Also, don't just ditch and abandon the other people you talked to in the beginning now that you've found some friends, it never hurts to have friendly acquaintes! (But always observe and be aware of your surroundings, not everyone will react the same and sometimes it takes a bit more time to connect with some people, and if they aren't interested, don't roll your eyes and call them ridiculous, just become a friendly acquaintance instead! There is no need to make enemies. )

Literally the only reason I’ve had friends in college during my entire time here is because I joined the band. I’ve made amazing memories with some of these friends. We drove to Detroit once just to buy a board game. We all got invested in board game clubs, and we host weekly sessions. No better way to get involved!
