I've spent years switching from being a stomach sleeper to a (primarily) side and back sleeper. It's still hard to deny how comfortable it is to sleep on my stomach sometimes, but I have back pain waking up when I do.

I recently went from three thick pillows (whatever way I was lying) to one on my side and none when on my back, it's amazing the change it has made to my sleep.

Thank you. I was in really bad position. I was sleeping on my stomach. But now trying to change to back position its really hard for as beginner but I'm doing my vest

Im a big stomach sleeper and recently started having neck problems but when I sleep on my back I get sleep paralysis and the demon stands on my chest so I just have to deal with the neck issues

I was staying in the same room in the dormitory with my friend who was studying physiotherapy. He told me that my sleeping position was very bad and that my body could not relax during sleep and that I would not wake up feeling rested. I followed his suggestions and learned a few more tips online. Now I wake up much more vigorous and rested. At the same time, my posture is in a much better condition than before. For example, for years I used a pillow that was too high for my body. More precisely, I didn't think this was important that much, but it was important.

Generally I can't fall asleep on my back unless I'm very tired. I love the position similar to first aid recovery position on the side. Very comfy. ;)

I have been avoiding sleeping on my back to avoid sleep paralysis but didn’t know it had other downsides as well

So true Doc. I found comfort sleeping on my back without a pillow on a very firm soft spring mattress.

I was a side sleeper with a small pillow until I broke my shoulder this summer, and could not lay on either side. My surgeon had me sleep, propped up at first on my back, but I was able to slowly slide down over time, and am now so comfy I doubt I will sleep any other way. Not moving during the night, no aches or pain.

A pillow that was too high was my downfall and I've done it for so long. As soon as I bought a thin 2.5 inch pillow for back pain my sleep got so much better
