Life with hypermobility can be challenging. Things like fidgeting, hyperextension of joints like fingers, GI upset, and chronic pain can accompany hypermobility in some people. We have hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome.

😮 wow now seeing a connection between my autism and I’ve had all the symptoms of EDS doctors can’t find anything wrong with me for 36 years. They just said “oh it’s fibromyalgia, it’s IBS, etc.” thank you❤

May all my fellow Zebras stay positive. EDS is crippling.

So you're telling me I'm not just clumsy for running into stuff all the time? Good to know, having EDS is so isolating sometimes

I could have sworn this was normal, I swear almost everyone I come across can do the same stuff like bending their fingers like that and the stretchy skin. I do have random joint pain especially in my legs or my ankles and wrists but I always figured it was because of the kind of work I do. I wouldn't really consider it a disorder.

I definitely have hyper mobility and every issue you described my whole life..with exception - my sons did not want to come in this world without a fight..1st one was a full week in labor, stuck at 3cm and 18hrs hard labor..my 2nd was 3 days in labor, also at 3cm and 20hrs hard labor..both 10lbs, who didn't fit in newborn clothes! Big reason i got my tubal ligation straight after my 2nd son! 😂

Welcome to my 58 yrs of pain and issues. Was only diagnosed 3 yrs ago. EDS is a horrible thing.... and most docs are totally clueless... should have added having to explain the medical terminology for EDS to Every Doc who treats you... and the pain Dr's don't understand just how bad it all hurts....

Where can I find out about hypermobility and short labours that one floored me 55 years 3 children later I'm just going through the process of obtaining a diagnosis. I did indeed have had fast labours. The birthing process was more complex for them all but with the especially my youngest two I had birthed them total labour was under 45 minutes it took much longer and needed help getting them out. (but I'm very petite under 5ft 2 in.. I will go to your website for more information. It's making sense of my life.. Thx for this info ❤ best wishes from London UK..

I knew of all these... Except the fast labour! I knew I couldnt chalk it all up to a home waterbirth when my entire family has always struggled with long drawn out labours..
