If you have hypermobility, hypermobility spectrum disorder (HSD),hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) it's likely you will understand and relate to at least some of the things in this video. People can have any of these "symptoms" for other reasons, so having these doesn't necessarily mean you are hypermobile. We have more information about how to determine if you may be hypermobile on our blog and website.

The water bottles 😂 I have to sometimes remind myself it's not normal to take a water bottle to the mall.

The dizzy when standing and sensitive skin might be a symptom of small fiber neuropathy. It is a progressive nerve disease common with hypermobility.

I took a course on making stain glass....it was excruciating on my fingers. I didn't know until then that peoples fingers weren't suppose to bend like that.
I passed out at weekend, went to the doctor's this morning and aked to have my electrolytes and blood pressure checked. Said i would have to wait for my annual check up in march. I didn't even know i had an annual checkup as they don't send for me!
Glad i found you. X

I have hypermobility and never go anywhere without my litre of water. I literally had no idea these were connected! Can you explain?

I literally have all of these, except for the giant waterbottle part, I use regular sized ones bc i'm afraid of saliva buildup (even though I try to drink without any backwash, still paranoid about the contact of my lip germs building up in one bottle all day) and my shoulders will fall out of place when I have a full large bottle

What's with the big water bottles? I have hypermobility joint syndrome, haven't ruled out EDS. Some of those things I do but didn't associate then with hjs.

Curious, do you all change positions constantly because it gets to a point where something hurts?
Because that's what happens to me. Specially with my lower back, even if I'm correctly seated, it becomes uncomfortable and I have to switch.

Correction, fingers so bendy that sometimes they can feel like they might snap when doing hard labor with them.

May I ask a possibly stupid question? Do hypermobile people tend to get dehydrated easier? I've got SI joint problems from hypermobility in my hips and I constantly drink a crap load of water and I've never correlated the two.

Why the water bottles being specific to hypermobility?

I always thought that was just normal! Lol

I hold my pen the way you hold a knife!! I had a teacher in high school that said she wanted to slap my hand because of it!

Ugh I've been really wondering if i have hyper mobility and pots. I relate to all of this. When i research it, I don't have the extreme symptoms i see that are common but at the same time my life feels really limiting because I can't walk long distances without a risk of getting dizzy and falling and im screwed if i forgot my water.
