The crux of this is that most people (myself included) do not like to actually make completely open choices, and when given the chance to do so, will often take the easiest or most comfortable path, which is usually the one resulting in no changes.

Something I find very useful is to do something that essentially takes the choice out of my hands by making one small move towards one direction or another. Say I have a lot of shopping I need to do, but I don't want to do it because it involves a lot of driving, standing in line, spending money, etc. If I am at home I will never suddenly be able to drag myself out of my comfort-zone, get into my car, and then go shopping. So, I make the decision easier by doing my shopping after leaving work. Instead of driving directly home, I go in the direction of where I need to shop. Instead of the seemingly-Herculean effort I need to make the choice to go on this shopping trip, the decision is easy: turn right or go straight. This is a bit like, "If I drive straight, I must go shopping." Once I've begun upon this path of heading toward shopping instead of toward home, I find it very easy to choose to continue doing this instead of turning around and heading back. This way, I'll actually get done what I need to get done.

I suffer from pretty serious social anxiety. Part of what helps ease anxiety in other parts of my life, like schoolwork or engaging in hobbies, is to make a full-scale plan of what will happen when and what I will do in response to unexpected (or anxiety-driven) obstacles. I started doing the same thing for having to go check out at a grocery store or going to an event, and it's helped me to be more calm in the preparation and aftermath of the thing, helping me to get it done even if there's some discomfort in the process of doing it.

Big difference that I have made in my life is to keep up a routine. Looking back now, I'm actually very surprised at how far I've come from my lazy life! I usually have a fixed time to have meals and they help me run my day on track.
As usual, amazing video. Amazing content! And thanks a lot!

This does work, but I would add it is vital that you actually right it down and read it again if you faulter. Remind yourself why it mattered enough and why you are committed to doing it. And it can work on many other things, like remembering to appreciate ones partner or working towards a better job. It is important not to let it slip from the mind if it really matters to you. A post it note can be all that is needed to maintain the reminder. And often writing things down has greater impact than simply saying them or thinking about it.

the fact that I got to know that the 90% elements required to make our bodies are made out of stardust, so literally a star had to explode or die so that you could live. After hearing and reading such stuff you just, I don't know, you find more willpower within yourself and do that just extra bit to get better everyday. So yes as mentioned in your previous videos, we do have limited will power, or do we?
I think the thing is not the amount the amount of will power we have but how we harness it, use it and you'll see for yourself that we do have tremendous amount of will power. That's just my opinion though.
Cheers man, a great channel.

Surrounding myself with friends who are enthusiastic and motivated, figuring out coping mechanisms and ways to enjoy working out (like music or watching an interesting movie), and when I began noticing result after a while and feelings of accomplishment are the things that helped me get in shape and maintain my recently acquired habits.

I drastically cut the sugar intake I was getting. Before, I could eat like 3-4 candy bars a day, drink coke, and sit behind a computer the whole day. Now, I don't eat any sugar (if I'm particularly desiring something sweet, I take one cookie, or 2 squares from a chocolate bar) and I'm exercising. I lost 70 pounds... Also, a lot of people tell me I looked better fat - the fuck's up with that?

Please invest in a pop filter for your mic. They cost about $6USD and can be purchased on Amazon. Otherwise, I love your channel!

I have got into the habit of watching You Tube educational videos. They are a great way to stay motivated. I wish I had cultivated this habit much earlier. I love the music in this video by the way.

I love the do Little starts Thing. Like preparing the dishes today, so I will wash them tomorrow. Doing a small preparation Task that makes the beginning of a greater Project. So it makes it easy to start something.
