Of course 1000 calories of red meat protein is better for muscle mass than a 1000 calories of fat and sugar. I mean i feel like you're educating yourself and yourself only here. And counting calories is important if you're trying to lose weight, not is everyone trying to look like a beef mountain

I mean tbf. Counting calories for you with the amount of exercise you do is unnecessary. For the avg human being tho, it’s a good skill to have especially if you’re only weight training.

Counting Calories when you're at your natural weight is unnecessary, just eat to maintain and perform but if youre tryiny to lose weight in a healthy way then counting calories and prioritizing the valuable nutrients and vitamins can be good

I mean 1000kcal of donuts are the same in calories as 1000kcal of beef. Just like 1kg of feather weights as much as 1kg of steel. But they are for different things. You can still lose weight if you eat 500kcal less than your maintenance by donuts only and vice versa with beef.

Don’t count calories either, just track my protein to make sure I get enough

If you’re cutting weight, counting calories is essential my guy. Especially if you don’t exercise a ton.

Yeah but why does this mean you don’t count calories?

You know you can count calories and macros at the same time right? Very easy to eat too much or too little if you don’t track. You can get away with it on a bulk but on a cut you need to know how much you’re eating.

Although its true that 1000 calories of junk food is not the same nutritionally as 1000 calories of healthy food thats still not a reason to not count calories

Yes eat the majority of your food as healthy food and eat junk food in moderation but still by all means count calories

The law of energy balance simply cannot be ignored. Eat more calories than you burn and you will gain weight. Eat less than you burn and you'll lose weight . That is a scientific fact !

Im yet to be convinced otherwise and never will. On paper its a proven fact. In theory ive seen the evidence of it a million times with my own body

Whenever i go into a calorie defecit, through diet and exercise, i lose weight. And the minute i stop exercising and start overeating i gain weight. It happens every time without fail

3500 calories in 1lb of fat. Which means that to lose 1lb of fat you must burn 3500 calories. And vise versa to gain 1lb you must over consume 3500 calories . Theres just no way of getting around that fact

Its all about calories
