The zombie that terrifies me the most is probably the necromorph, which I would qualify as evil space magic zombie. But they are straight up nightmares, and the destroy the head philosophy doesn't apply here. And given that most long range weapons are bullets removing limbs will be difficult and people may need to use more medieval tools like axes and swords.
