Ok I have a theory. It's a bit far-fetched, but I think Vader is Luke's father. It would only make sense. He didn't kill him in the last movie, and in the trailer when that voice said there was anger in him, much like his FATHER. Not to mention, Vader also means Father in Dutch. I'm calling it.

I love how you cut out Yoda everywhere except for the closing line. That, along with avoiding the Vader/Luke reveal makes this probably the best fanmade ESB trailer cut to date. Theres been a few really solid ones done in the past, but they trade too much on the notion that we've seen it before so its ok to spoil. You cut this like a first release trailer. Bravo, sir

The misdirection is brilliant to the point that it’s core theme isn’t a misdirection at all. When I hear Luke say “I’m looking for a great warrior” and pans to Vader, it really represents the beauty that Luke needs the father he never had and Vader needs the son he thought was lost. Literal chills in that moment. So good!

Empire has to be the best sequel ever. It expanded the universe to a mind-boggling degree and it flipped the entire original Stars Wars film on its head. I can only imagine seeing this movie in the theaters and being like, "OMG, what am I even watching?!?!" I was born a few years after, but I grew up with these films. I wish I could have experienced watching Empire in the theater. In terms of sequels, I don't know how you can possibly beat this movie.

Fan-made modern trailers are a dime a dozen on YouTube, but this one stands out. From the snippet of a deleted scene (i.e. Wampa grabbing a Snowtrooper) to concealing Yoda’s appearance and the AT-ATs, this really captures the true spirit of a movie trailer. Plus, it’s a trailer for my all-time favourite movie...what more could I want? Well done! :-)

There is so much to love about this! Intensity, intrigue, action, drama. But the true win here is that you managed to contain anything that might be considered a spoiler for an audience that wouldn't have seen ESB yet. Amazing work! Made me feel like I was in 1979. (And I wasn't even alive then!)

If this were a movie made today, millions of people would've picked the trailer apart piece by piece until together they gave us a basic storyline and wild predictions (some of which are accurate) to make it so every major scene was already told to you beforehand.

It would give something of a vibe that his father was alive but in real life Vader’s his father
