Eric Idle, from whom the cast was renting a house from while shooting Empire, says they were partying the night before shooting this scene. The Rolling Stones showed up and the party went later into the evening. Finally the actor's limos arrive to take them to the set and no one had been to sleep and everyone was still high as a kite. He claims that Harrison, Carrie and Mark were all still quite drunk from the party the night before. He mentions particularly the part where Leia says her name and Han takes her hand.
Harrison does look kind of glassy eyed throughout the scene on the landing platform. If you notice, what should be a tense scene comes off a little odd because our heroes are behaving so languidly and rather casual throughout. They tend to lean back and their bodies sway about casually as they deliver their lines.

Finding out Harrison and Carrie were utterly sloshed when filming this explains a lot tbh. Especially 2:13 and the way they're leaning on whatever they can.

This to me was the “turning point” scene in the movie. We knew something was coming from Boba’s chess move and then Luke’s visions. Visually stunning.

If you pay attention the engine sounds from the Twin Pod Cloud Cars is also the engines from The Spinners in Blade Runner, there is a lot of sound effects in this film that are used in Blade Runner, I'm guessing Warner Bros, Lucas Ltd and 20th Century Fox partnered

For a twelve year old kid, this movie is so jaw dropping from start to finish. No such thing as CGI, so the sci fi scenes even more amazing !!
