It is a desperate time for the Rebel Alliance. The Battle of Hoth has turned against the Rebels and their allies. Their base has been breached by Imperial snowtroopers while a fleet of Star Destroyers waits to make sure no ships slip free of the Hoth system. While General Veers pilots his massive AT-AT walker against Echo Base's primary shield generator, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia Organa seek to buy time—and hope—for the Rebel evacuation…

0:42 I like how Vader is just like, “This way? Ok then.”

0:35 This is my favourite version of the Imperial March. It's extra notes really add tension and a feeling you're being chased by an unstoppable force. Which of course they were

Always felt bad for C-3PO during this sequence, when Anakin first built him with the galaxy's slowest, stiffest legs he clearly wasn't envisioning that C-3PO'd have to run for his life from him three decades later, lol

1:59-2:14 - One of my favourite scenes of whole trilogy. Sound of Falcon taking off and flying above beautiful snowy scenery of Hoth, with accompaniament of epic music always give me chills.

1:30 Han trying to power up the Falcon and having to beat on the wall is just always my favorite scene. I love the Falcon, but it illustrates what an actual shit-box it is. And as someone who has owned a couple of shit-box cars, this resonates with me.

After all these years, this scene remains just as edge-of-your-seat exciting! There was something soo awesome seeing Han and Leia narrowly avoiding capture... especially with someone like Vader in pursuit. This whole episode is made even more urgent against the background of the Empire having basically handed the Rebellion a significant defeat back when SW still had stakes)! A great scene from an extraordinary and most excellent movie! 👍👍

The end of this scene always makes me tear up a little: The suspense of Vader coming for you, getting the Falcon started, the music, and then Luke is able to see his friends have escaped the planet.

Love Luke at 2:06 being oblivious a second to the falcon hauling tail to get out of there because he's still recovering from that chaos that ensued earlier

The first time I saw this scene I was like “DON’T FORGET C-3PO!”

I remember watching this and getting goosebumps hoping they'd make it. Harrison Ford just made Han Solo with his brash, cavalier, devil-may-care attitude and charismatic style. And he was always trying to turn death into a fighting chance for life, much like another beloved Captain we all know. Just love this scene. 👍🏾

One of the sweetest sounding ships EVER.:)

If only Vader had some kind of force power to grab a ship out of the air...

My favorite part of this is Han smacking the electronics to get them working again.

I love how a constant theme in this trilogy is how irritated Han Solo is at C3PO at all times lmao
