Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back - Wampa Scene

The adventure continues in this "Star Wars" sequel. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) face attack by the Imperial forces and its AT-AT walkers on the ice planet Hoth. While Han and Leia escape in the Millennium Falcon, Luke travels to Dagobah in search of Yoda. Only with the Jedi master's help will Luke survive when the dark side of the Force beckons him into the ultimate duel with Darth Vader (David Prowse).

I remember Mark Hamil saying that he didn't like the fact Luke cut the Wampa's arm off, rather then just scaring it away.

This for me is the better of the two scenes. You see the looming danger and Luke having to get is force going before it's too late.

Also, I've heard/read somewhere that this Wampa is a female because, they said that the females are more aggressive than the males (though good thing that the Wampa isn't pregnant either, because she wouldn't be saving Luke for later, she'll immediately eat him along with the tauntaun).

According to sources, this individual Wampa was a male and following the loss of its arm, it gradually recovered and learned how to fight and hunt with just one. Following the battle of Hoth, the Wampa made its way to the remains of Echo Base, which itself had been built out of a large Wampa clan cave, and settled there. Eventually other Wampas would join up with it and form one of the largest clans on the planet.

Luke was in an accident and half of his face was disfigured, so he faked the scars on his face as the ramp attacking him.

This is far better than the original Wampa Scene the Beast looks absolutely horrifying and hes almost finished eating the body part. Hes about to turn to Luke any second. And when he does, Luke is still trying to use the force....jesus...

The Wampa reminds us all of the Abominable Snowman on Hoth.
