Everyone has down days. Whether it’s from depression or anxiety, stress about school, work, or life, or just waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Sometimes it can feel like everything is just too much, it’s easy to feel worthless, helpless, and like you’re not going to make it. But you will. And hopefully these tricks will help you to guard your mental health and realize that things will be fine. It’s important to take some time out for self care.

Whenever I'm feeling down, it's so humbling to look at my gratitude journal and remind myself how much I have to be thankful for. Yay for talking about mental health. Great video :)

I know this is 3 yrs old, but this couldn't have come up on my feed at a better time.

My funk has not-in-a-good-way-funky. A fully different definition of "funky, " as in "bad

For instance: not showering for ridiculous stretches of sleeping constantly, anxiety attacks over the tiniest things, inability to do even the smallest tasks...
My mental health is mega unhealthy over here.
I appreciate this video, and your energy though. Lots of to you, and incredible gratitude for this video! Muah!

Edit: Unfortunately, I have zero tips, or *anything* constructive to add right now. Once I'm in a better place, if/when that happens, I'll try to remember to put another edit on this bad boy, and let you all know what worked for me.

It's a very personal journey, however. What works for some, will have zero positive (or negative) effect on others. I want to add more to the conversation that isn't just "wah, wah, wah; poor, poor However: wish in one hand, and ugly cry in the other, and see which fills up faster? IDK.

Love and good vibes to anyone else struggling to maintain. To *everyone*, regardless if you're struggling, or if you are in an amazing place. I hope you are experiencing the latter. <3

Best pj shorts ever! Great video!

PS- One of my tips is to watch something funny. Like a netflix show, a comedy sketch on YT or reaction videos (AFV) to make you laugh, I think it helps...oh and my secret weapon, pray!

I know they really don't work for some people, but lately I've been using ASMR videos to help with my anxiety.

I'm with you. A dance break is a fantastic way to break up the patterns of feeling down, or feeling too much with anxiousness. In my last meeting with my supervisor and another therapist, we agreed to dance on zoom without judgement and really let loose with BTS LOL. Seriously, it was much needed to just shake out the nerves or whatever is going on. Great reminder!

i frikin LOVE running! But I couldnt tell you why! It's v uncomfortable and feeling sore is horrible. Just need to move! Fast!!
I guess I like to expend excess energy as quickly as possible and running around helps me or really forces me to calm down after a big spurt of self indulging and distracting excitement.
