My mom and I created this beginner chair workout for seniors and those with mobility issues. Weights are optional.

I'm an an ACE-certified personal trainer with a special place in my heart for seniors, partly because I am one! At 55, I'm living my dream job after a 30-year career in journalism and communications.

THE WORKOUT:
We get started with a quick warmup and then get into a fun and gentle upper and lower body workout:

- Chair standups/Squats
- Heel touches and rows
- Leg lift and bicep curl
- Chest opener and shoulder raise
- Row and tricep kickback
- Reverse fly
- Arm circles
- Cool down

It’s never too late to start exercising. Let’s move!

Dear ladies. After many years of sitting in diferent offices and at home, I was 65, retired and with way too many kilograms. My hart and ankels started to protest. So I begin to follow your videos, change my diet and I can proudly say, I have first results. Thank you for your videos, I am relly happy to find them and I try out many of them.

I can’t tell you how much your videos have meant to me and helped me get back into doing anything other than being pretty much stagnant! Your mom is an inspiration to me and your calming and caring demeanor are just what I need as I try to regain my health! LOVE the teamwork! Wow, vintage Y2N! Before Aiko became the star of the show! Just kidding, April, haha! My ankles are a bit sore after weekend hiking on rough terrain, so I'm resting them while exploring some of your sitting workouts, so glad you have many to choose from. Even though I did this sitting, it was a bona fide workout. Feels good on my upper back, more loose and relaxed than when I started.

that are good for posture.

I love your videos! I’m 82, and I love seeing your
Mom doing exercises with you. You are so sweet
to her. I like the fact that you don’t have loud
music, or any music, and you are calm and
peaceful and just do the exercises calmly
and quietly and peacefully. That helps a lot.
I love doing exercises, but I don’t need a lot
of noise and excitement along with it . I have
walked 30 minutes a day every day for 30
years. I have been eating a whole food plant
based diet for 30 years too.

Anyway, I want to thank you and your dear
Mother for having such nice exercise videos
for all of us to do.

This may be a beginners workout, but it was challenging nevertheless. It fits very well into some of my more demanding workouts and still, is no wimp out routine. I enjoyed it ever so much and will be using it as a buffer between other routines. Once again, wonderful variety which kept me engaged. I have no doubt that when my sacrum muscles are hurting me I'll be doing this routine seated. Thank you Aiko, and thank you April!...Anastasia

Hello Ladies! I have been doing your workouts for awhile now and they were easy. This one I just found is not so, but I got a good burn! Change can only happen when new movements begin!
