10 SIGNS you may have SIBO

This video discusses 10 signs that you may have SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) is a condition that results when there are too many bacteria and microorganisms in the small intestines, which can be due to a variety of reasons. Testing for SIBO unfortunately is not a common practice. Here are some common signs of sibo to help determine if this condition is affecting you (without getting having a formal test done). Note: I'll cover different tests in future videos.

Hi Dr Daniel, thank you for your SIBO videos. My recent Genova SIBO breath test is high methane at 24. The levels are 21, 15, 11, 9, 9, 15, 22, 24 in the time columns. Hydrogen time columns are under 10 apart from last 2 columns 26 & 35. Looks like I have SIBO and LIBO.

My main symptom is constant weight loss, went gradually down to 123lbs/56kgs from 167lbs/74kgs in June 2019 despite eating well. Scans/tests have been okay. Very underweight at 5'9" struggling to walk. Was positive for methane SIBO in Jan 2021 tried GI Microb-X, low fodmap, S Boulardii, PHGG, Caprylic Acid, Candidefense and many more supplements since but still lost weight. Have constipation (1 bm a day but should be 2 as this is my healthy normal), mild bloating, stomach is hard after eating, slow motility, lots of belching, intermittent gallbladder/bile flow pain esp when eating fats.

Hoping my new practitioner can treat methane SIBO properly? Can I ask do you see many patients with weight loss issues? I really need to stop the weight loss and restart absorbing food. Thanks Kevin

Pretty much all 9 applies or partially applies to me except I don't have diarrhoea and/or constipation - could it still be SIBO?

Can it cause ear pressure/temporary reduced hearing like ears are clogged? Forehead itching, flush on face, throat irritation, voice changes and sometimes breathing difficulties?
I eat low FODMAP and very clean, tried low histamine diet it helps a bit but there seems to be more going on. My symptoms feel like a mild anaphylaxis. Could be Crohn's, SIFO, persistant candida, biofilm, histamine intolerance, etc. Wonder if a stool test may help, but read that's not really conclusive either and even with a diagnose I wonder how to fix this since things aren't working so far for many many months. Feeling so hopeless.

Which of the two type of SIBo causes excess gas?....I can't seem to keep anything down without gas even after a bowel movement I'm still gassy.im also constipated, had to use enema today to free myself but still my gut seem like it's about to be pulled out of my stomach

my gi issues all started with daily heartburn then into acid reflux then that casued 2 small uclers .ive been dealing with this for 6 years now with no end in sight and i also go the IBS bs from doc and he told me im going to have good and bad days after that i seen a GI doc and he was NO HELP AT ALL just told me to take miralax . i thing i did notice is when these issues started i got and still have this coating on my tounge witch i now know has to do with the small and large intestines . can low stomach acid cause a dry mouth some times also i can taste what i ate hours later when i burp
