How to finally stop buying things that you DON'T NEED. Whether it's to create a wardrobe that you actually love or to purchase things that you will actually get a lot of use out of. In today's video, I'll be sharing 5 simple tips that I use almost every single time that I am going to buy something. These tips help me save money and shop much more consciously. These tips will prevent you from feeling like you have nothing to wear, despite having a closet full of clothes.

My favourite point is the one about paying everything first and then deciding if your budget has the capacity for shopping. If you have loans, credit card bills etc you shouldn't be shopping; you're just digging yourself into a deeper hole. It's so easy to do when everything is accessible with a few clicks and you don't have a realistic perspective of how much you are spending.

A tip I have is to go into the dressing room & try on every single item you’re considering purchasing because even though you know your size it’s not the same as trying it on & seeing how the clothes lay on your body.

What you said around 4:20 is very true and I use this even with makeup/beauty. Using seasonal color analysis has helped a lot.

One thing I do if I want something but know I don't need it and can't justify buying it for myself is simply asking for it as a gift for my birthday or xmas. I only do this for close friends and family where I have a general sense for what their budget for a gift would be for me so I don't ask for something too expensive for their budget. It's been great because it eliminates the gifting anxiety a lot of people might have and I also know I will love what I get!
