Good inspiration ("why") and explanation ("how")! I am a babyboomer woman. 6-7 days a week I do 18 hour fast. I only felt hungry that 1st day. Give it a try! it has been 90 days and have lost 2 pants sizes. sleep better, SKIN LOOKS AWESOME!

I just linked this video to a post on my channel. I have been doing IF since August and have leaned down by about 20lbs while retaining strength and muscle. I'm still able to eat foods that I enjoy, just not for 12 hours a day like I used to. I've also been recommending this to my clients and, the ones who have stuck to it, have been seeing awesome results!

Intermittent fasting is just amazing!! So glad I discovered it over a month ago. Thx to all of you guys that are putting the word out David Jockers! Lost 7 pounds with the 18-6 fast, party hard every s econd weekend ( which set me back a lot but...). I eat a big lunch, dont munch, have a few drinks for happy hour everyday and have a big dinner. Sounds too easy thats because it is! Cant believe im still losing a pond a week and drinking beers, eating (organic) chips and meat everyday. I do 1 workout per week and go for 1 hour run per week, so not much exercise, just no munching at night or in between meals... My bowel movement is way better and my acidity problem gone, just unreal!

I do long fasts all the time. I am healthier now than I have ever been. Maybe pregnant women or women who are nursing....but not women as a whole. So many benefits for women.

im so excited! i'm on day 3, and each day have only felt better and better. first day i did 19/5 second day 18/6 and today 16/8. i really like 18/6 seems perfect for me. first day had massive headache, second day non at all, but a little grumpy, and today felt amazing. have energy, went running, worked out. love this so far!! Going to try IF for a month and if results are bad ass, then I'm sticking with it.

as Muslims besides the once a year Ramadhans' one month fast from sun up to sun down, we're encourage to do optional fasting twice a week Mondays n Thursdays or 3 straight days mid month (13th, 14th, 15th). when u follow the Books for spiritual benefits, it won't be long when u will find it's wholesome benefit physically, mentally, emotionally and other ...ally.

pfft - I've done 5 days water only fasts - my husband can't even go 24 hours. I would say women are strong enough to do anything they want.

i am a girl and i'have started fasting for 15-18 hours ( from sun up to sun down) since i was 8 . it's something completely normal in my society in a certain month, and many people keep fasting 8 days per month , which actually my grandmother do and she is 80 now..it's really easy if used to do it and there is no risk you will gain in the future

100% correct. I have been on a warrior fast actually extended warrior fast for many days now. My first meal starts by 6 pm till about 9 pm. I feel terrific. Lots of energy. Mental clarity. Saves me money. I will not go back to junk life. I do not need any Doctor to tell me I am healthy. I take long walks without getting tired.

I am a female and don't have any problems with not eating for 16 hours. It feels somehow natural to me. For many years I have forced myself to eat food early in the morning. I always was taught breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I am still figuring out how many calories I need to feel my best and what food are best for me at what times of the day. I never suffer from constipation but digesting food makes me incredible tired. Raw mono meals seem to work best for me during the day. It is a bit boring but I am sick of feeling tired all the time.

My wife and I developed Rheumatoid Arthritis both in 2009. I've gained a bit of weight and decided to do a few 3 day fasts. My weight has dropped, but I have experienced some inflammation that I've not had since 2015. I've read stuff saying that fasting is good for autoimmune diseases. I did have a cat allergy last weekend and flared up at the same time.

Can fasting be weakening me? I feel great when I do it. REALLY GREAT!

Oh really? 18-hour fasts are not for women??? I've been doing 20-22-hour fasts on a daily basis for over a year now and I've never felt better. Some women may need a little more time working up to it by gradually increasing the number of hours they fast, but there is no reason they shouldn't at least give it a try.

This is the best explanation I have seen so far, thank you very much Dr; I will start with the simple one first and see how I get on. My question is; if I do 3days in a week like Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; in between the days how do I break the fast? For instance thinking how to eat the next day of Tuesday and Thursday??? Pls help

I'm a young woman and I have no problems with doing a strong or warrior fast. I have digestive problems and this helps a lot! Unfortunately I'm from nature very skinny, actually underweight, and a daily intermittent fast promotes weight loss which in my case is not what I want, but I have more and better bowel movements when I do intermittent fasting and a decrease in bloating, gas and belching!
