In fact, just 10 minutes of meditation a day can have huge physical and mental benefits—so why delay? Today, we're going to do our first 100 seconds of meditation together. This is adulterated form of meditation but good for starters.
Meditation actually doesn't involve any spirituality, saying mantras or anything visualisation or forced concentration. The purpose of meditation is also NOT to achieve a point of "absolute zero thinking" which many people think of. It is job of our mind to think and it will stop thinking only when we die :p.

Meditation is actually about observing and let go of our thoughts and emotions with equanimity that arises and it neutralizes all our inner thoughts completely ( from both conscious and subconscious level) which in the end automatically brings peace of mind and balance.
In highest form of mediation, people experience inner sound, live in a very moment, and are great observers of everything around with a inner sense of tranquility.
Meditation acts on deeper level and doesn't create distraction from problems of REAL LIFE WHICH UNFORTUNATELY MANY PEOPLE THINK OF. It promotes acceptance of reality and makes one a rational thinker and teaches to live with it gracefully.

Yep. I've been meditating 10 min a day for about a week and I can already see the improvements in my concentration (mostly while studying or reading), perception and quality of sleep.

My dad has been meditating on his early morning walks lately, and he has been doing so many cool things. Today he did my chores for me for no reason before he left for school. I think I'll try it.

I do this for 15-20 minutes after I turn my lights off at night, it really helps me just relax and sleep peacefully. And it also helps me stay focused and calm the next day! Thanks WatchWelcast

Ive been meditating for years. Ive reached several different levels. It is a truly amazing experience for everyone who does it. When you master meditation, and you can fully focus it for 3-4 hours, its amazing the things that start happening. Master meditation is so much better than just 10 mins, yay i feel better. I found this to be helpful. Meditation is personal. No one here should be saying that anyone is doing it wrong. Do what works for you.

Similar to Victor here, i am only 15 years of age, but i enjoy various forms of meditation. While i may not be in a perfect form of meditation, i will simply sit back in a quiet place and contemplate on a great many things. I am an aspiring scientist (Astrophysics and Chemistry) and during these times i have aquired my most awe inspiring ideas. I greatly recommend any form of meditation, and for any length of time.
