I LOVE the advice to "Act the way you want to be in the future, today" So many people in the finance space say (especially to our generation) that they were dealt an unfair hand and will never achieve the Boomer level of personal wealth. People like to hear that because it makes them feel better in the short term, but if they believe that then they truly will never achieve that level of wealth. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Love the "Not ask for permission, "- My Dad is also an immigrant with a strong immigrant mentality of staying in your "good" job, even if it's making you miserable. I took the jump to undertaking a full ride masters this fall, to help get me into an area that I'm actually interested in, and its been night and day, even though I'm still stuck at that job. I'm getting connections facilitated Tuesday for a new job, and it's all cause I didn't wait to "ask for permission" with my current job or because it was less "predictable" or "steady"!
