I gotta say, I watch your vids before and after a workout. I’ve seen significant gains after following a stricter lifting schedule/prioritizing training to failure. Thanks so much for the insight ! ❤

I absolutely appreciate all the information and historical education on your fitness journey. I was wondering if you may have some pointers on shoulder exercises with an injury.

Hey Peter, Iv come to find after 6 months of consistent training and dieting (currently doing a 4-5 day PPL split) that muscle growth is a slow and painful process but im loving the battle to get better every session. iv questioned myself back and forth for a while first with my legs because they were so underdeveloped that I thought I wasn’t going to grow them fast but once I started hitting them hard I started to see growth. Now my chest is my next problem area I still have a little bit of a gut that’s probably hiding a bit of definition but I was doing my sets all wrong. I was warming up doing 4 sets within 5 lbs of my working weight and I noticed I wasn’t getting the maximum I could out of my lifts leaving my next sessions feeling weak because I was overdoing it. I restructured my warm ups and brought it back to the basics with both my warm up and working sets. I’m currently maxing out at 125lbs 4x6 working sets with the last 2 reps of the last 2 sets hitting failure. My warmup now consists of doing just the bar for 15, 55% of working for 8, 75% for 5, 85% for 3 and 95% for 1 then 4 working sets for 6. Im still fresh to lifting and my goal is to hit my body weight on bench (incline) by this coming summer (200lbs) and im still kinda struggling really feeling my chest. If I build my tris and my shoulders more do you thinks my pressing will get stronger? Also I started using the 1 second up and 2 seconds down count on my bench because I also found myself rushing as well hopefully this will help with my mind muscle connection otherwise I may do a 2 count up and a 4 count down. What do you think? Also I had the idea with try to add 5lbs onto my bench every month while increasing the rep range by 2 every week using the same weight so one week I will do 6 (that’s hitting chest 2x a week) the next week 8 then 10 then 12 and by the next push day add 5lbs and drop the reps back to 6. What do you think about the approach?

Ps forgot to add that I switch my bench up every other week from smith to dumbbells and I’m using the same approach with warmups and working sets and my max dumbbell bench is with 2 45s just to clarify

I honestly love going balls to the wall except on squats and hip hinges. I made the mistake of doing with with a push/pull/legs split but I was never recovered in time. I personally enjoy Dorian's split (with more sets, 12 sets a week) with hip hinges put on back day. It allowed me to hit my biceps and triceps while they are fresh. I highly recommend plus having a chest and bicep pump at the same time feels great!

been training 1/2 times per week and since can't follow a strict muscle building diet, i prioritize rest days and eat anything my grandma makes for me. hard training, hard recovery. started seeing perfect gains shirts filling.
thanks to you peter ❤.

Great advice. The first 10 years of hard training was done twice a week. As I got older I trained each body part once every 5 days. Perfect for me. Getting even older I trained each body part once a week blasting each body part. Listen to your body, that’ll tell you when you should train that body part again.

I don’t know what it is about your vids, but that gym sort of reminds me of Ferrigno in Pumping Iron in the scene with his dad.

I agree Peter. Stopping most sets just a few reps of muscular failure definitely builds the most hypertrophy 💪

I myself have achieved the best results in the 15 years I have been training with a mixture of a 2 and a 4 split. On Saturdays, I train my back in full (5 exercises). Then I do 4-5 sets for the biceps (like a pull workout focussing on the big muscle). Sunday is similar with the pushing muscles. Monday and Tuesday are a Off days. On Wednesdays I train shoulders and arms. At the end I do 1 exercise for the back with 4-5 sets. On Thursdays I train legs and calves. At the end I do 3-4 sets of Pec Dec machine.

What's working for me is One body part a day Monday through friday saturday sunday off. And if i'm not growing fast enough it's not the food it's not training it's my genetics.

Hi Peter
I got your Mass program, but unfortunatelly at the payment I was redirected to another side, and I didnt notice, so, instead of getting Mass program and Arms program for cheaper, I got Mass program from
Boots App for more expensive price

I love the mass programm, and love working hard, always have been,
I see results in strength, and very small in shape, but still do

Except for the arms, whatever I do arms ecen seems to get smaller, not bigger
Even the calves, which I thought will stay as my weakest point, start to change shape, slowly, slowly
What do you sugest for my arms?
What should I do next after the12 weeks program

Regards
Dan

Tell me about the Yates row from a rack. Curious about that one as I haven't seen you post/talk about it.
