The hardening part happened AFTER the rejection

I love when Calvinists say that you’re dead so you can’t believe, so I just respond with, I guess since they’re dead at the bottom of the lake they probably can’t suppress truth either as that takes effort.

This is similar to the potter and clay that Paul refers to from Jeremiah. God is not arbitrarily molding people but he is molding them based on whether or not they obey or disobey Him. God is determining how to mold us according to our behaviors.

The creator created people who dont believe in the creator and punish them with hell. 😮

I was at a study on Tuesday, brought up that passage and my Calvinist buddy read it out load and I could see his brain struggling to process it. He even repeated the same interpretation that is right here, and it just did not quite dawn on him that he was crushing Calvinism with his own words.

So my question is why do so many Christians try to debate those who have rejected faith and suppress truth?

A text out of context is a pre text. We must use the whole word to interpret small sections. Romans one is an introduction to the gospel and those lost lost from what? Sin as Roman 2 explains leaving no room for anything but Gods grace to safe grace is a gift a gift is given not asked for. Every chapter of the Bible displays Gods choice and Gods grace in choosing some just like he chose Israel

No, that’s not what is happening in Romans 1. Romans 1:17 is best seen as the “main idea” of the entire book. Verse 18 through the rest of the chapter establish that the entire race is given over to a sinful nature. Paul then contrasts a righteousness by works (that none can attain) vs a righteousness by faith, asserts that Christ is the only one Righteous, and that His righteousness is counted to us by faith. By the time you’re through with chapter 11, Paul has successfully argued that it is in fact by faith and only faith that the righteous live, and we are called “righteous” because His righteousness has been imputed to us by faith (which is not a synonym for cognition or volition or any combo of the two). To say that some people live by faith and are therefore counted righteous while others live according to their sinful nature and are therefore not counted righteous (that 1:17 is a contrast with the rest of the chapter) is a complete error- a Roman Catholic one. You’re not good at this stuff pal. You’re a bad wolf and you’re leading dumb sheep astray.

I’m no Calvinist, but I friends that would say God hardened the heart of the unbeliever and so they desire sin. How would you respond to that?

Also please do Romans 9, that is one of the biggest passages that is claimed to support Calvinism

One their favorite phrases is "from the foundation of the world". In my videos I take 140+ of their favorite verses and study the context of each verse. Their version of sovereignty can easily be exposed simply by context.

In Exodus, did Pharaoh have a choice? God told ABRAHAM (about 500 years before Pharaoh met Moses) what was going to happen, right down to the Egyptians handing over their gold. (Did THEY have a choice?) God told Moses what was going to happen. Then in Romans, God said to pharaoh “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

So, did Pharaoh have a choice?

Faith is a gift from God. If you had a hand in your salvation you dont have it. If its possible 5o lose it you definitely did.

It has to be the case, because we know through real life experience that not absolutely everyone looks at the creation and suppresses the truth of his existence and power.

Words printed on paper don’t prove a damn thing unless there are facts to support the claims… Where are the FACTS Christians?!?

Romans 1-2 is how both the gentiles and Jews are not excused from not obeying God. Romans 3 reasserts this point by saying all have fallen short of the glory of God and for this reason Christ came to redeem a lost humanity who was hopeless lost in their sin and could not, through any effort of their own, merit eternal life.

2 Corinthians 7:10
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Acts 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord

Luke 3:8
Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Don’t just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones.

The people in Romans 1 are the children of Israel who knew God and glorified Him not as God. They knew the judgement of God that they that did these things were worthy of death. (Verse 32) So the creation serves as a double witness to them. This is not an indignant of those who never heard the gospel but of those who knew it and turned away from it . Thanks brother for holding true to the faith. ❤️
