Never forget that the ultimate aim of Calvinism…is to prove that God does not love everyone, is not merciful to all, and is pleased to damn billions. If that is the God of the Bible, Calvinism is true. If that is not the God of the Bible, who “is love” (1 John 4:8), Calvinism is false. The central issue is God’s love and character in relation to mankind, as presented in Scripture (Debating Calvinism, p. 21).

Amen, God defines love in 1 Corinthians 13. All deeds with out love is counted as NOTHING 1 Corinthians 13:1. Everything God does is from agape love. It is who he is 1 John 4:8

This speaker is ignoring Romans 9:15-24. Most people seem to forget or at least don’t understand Isaiah 55:8-9. Romans 9: 21 says “Hath not the Potter power over the Clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor?” God’s Sovereignty over His Creation is no secret and This verse is not hard to understand, but it’s impossible for Prideful Men to accept.

The problem here is that you are using human reasoning to define what love is and what love isn’t. It seems you are offended that God would define love as something other than what you want Him to define love as. We as created beings don’t get to define love on our terms. His ways are higher than our ways. We cannot force our sensitivities onto God. He makes the rules. He makes the definitions. We submit.

The generic love promoted in this video is the same, synthetic love promoted in apostate churches and universalism. God's wrath abides on the human race universally because of sin, and He decides to show mercy on some through Christ. Perhaps the inquirer would do well to read Edward's sermon on Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God rather than the saccharin message of modern Evangelicalism if you're concerned about the state of your soul
