I'll warrant that nowhere on his list of wants was there a description of Selina and the decision to put her with him was cruel.
He totally did this as a joke or a bet, even though he said the application form was long he'd still fill it in for a laugh. He will end up with someone as shallow as himself. I wish Selina all the very best She was, and always will be, too good for him.

Why do the experts put together people who are polar opposites of each other? Opposites attract, sure, but not those who are completely different to the core, differently wired in the head.
Maybe they said "look, she can bring xyz out of him, and he can bring this other thing out in her", but it's not your partner's responsibility to "fix" you. You simply need to be a good match to begin with.
