I always knew it wasn’t right, my mom always told me to do that and at the end of the day my back hurt, especially my lower back. I just want to have a normal posture :(

Done correctly (not flaring out the ribs, that's very poor form, )the scapular retraction is a great tool to add to your toolbox while addressing excessive thoracic kyphosis. But like anything in life, it needs to be be executed correctly.

Whoops, I didn't even know people were doing this to fix hunchback, I've been doing it whenever my back felt tight, didn't realize I could be making things a lot worse

Superman’s are the best exercise, stretch then Supermans.

I wonder if doing pulldown or row workout in the gym would help to fix hunchback, after training for quite some time, I would consciously squeeze my back muscle in my daily life
