Maybe it's because not a lot of black people are in Japan, maybe that's why they stare. I don't think it's racism though. Yeah it's uncomfortable to the person. But not racist.

For some reasons, English speaking Westerners seem to have a very poor accent of other languages compared with people from Asia and Africa. Perhaps it has something to do with the English language accents being at odds with other accent 😂😂😂

I noticed a lot of foreigners staring at me in Japan too, and I’m white. I don’t think it necessarily comes from a bad place. I think it’s just that there aren’t many of us, so we stand out

I enjoy being black living in Japan. Most of the people I interact with are very friendly and respectful! It’s definitely a lot safer than my hometown 😅

When I am a foreigner, I too stare at other foreigners too. But it's mainly because I'm happy seeing other people here too. Like "omg your here too lets go"
