My Weight Loss Journey.
I lost around 50 pounds basically walking an hour every day. I decided to make a video showing the progress so I could look back at it and keep myself both motivated and accountable. I want to continue to live this healthy lifestyle and want to document the steps that really worked for me and also the times when it wasn't easy. But if I continued to trust the process, I'd get to the goals I had set out for myself. While on this personal journey, I enjoyed watching other transformation videos on youtube so I decided to add my story to the mix to hopefully inspire and entertain others as they did me.

Hey man, great job! Quick one, what did a typical Mon - Fri, weekend look like diet wise?

Appreciate the walking and strength are critical but without a calorie deficit, you wouldn’t have lost the weight.

You must have been very thorough with tracking and planning meals during the week and weekend!

Great work man. How are you doing now?

Appreciate this video is two years old.

6 months ago, I was 250 lbs. Now I weigh 177 lbs. I walk 2 5k's per day. Morning and evening. I have cervical and lumbar stenosis, and walking is low impact and something I can do. It's the only exercise I do. For me, walking is the best exercise for people who have physical limitations.

Thank you for posting this! It helps to inspire those of us who are trying to be healthier. I've lost 40 pounds since May of 2022. I walk 2 miles a day, either outside or on my treadmill. Working up to 3, but when I started, I could only walk for 10-15 minutes. Now I walk 45-50. I'm proud of myself! You should be, too! Keep it up!

Exactly! This is the key, "I don't want to do it, but it's gonna get done" this is the key. Well done 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I have to say my man, you look 10 years younger! I just started doing 20k steps per day a few weeks ago. I've dropped down from 14.5% bf down to 12.1% bf without even changing my diet. Makes it super easy to eat in a caloric deficit.

I try to walk everyday and get 10, 000 steps. The best thing to help me are podcasts to listen to while walking; the time zips by when you are listening to something interesting. By the way, I am 67 years old and have been doing this for almost 10 years. If I can do it, so can you!

Great work. Picked up walking at the beginning of 2022. I was around 215 and just unhappy with how I looked and felt. I’m sitting at 170 now, and want to keep going. The Apple Watch has really helped me stick to walking trends. I try to walk 6-8 miles on the weekdays and at least 10 miles on the weekends.

At >120Kg I started walking three months ago. At first I had to walk with the aid of a medical walking stick and could hardly manage a single street block. Sticking to my walks, this improved and I could gradually increase the distance though I had intense pains in both legs, literally from my feet to above my hips, especially late at night. Progressively this has improved to where I can now manage 6 kilometres in a walk of an hour and a half and only "really need" the cane in the second half of my walk due to pain my legs. The swelling in my feet has greatly subsided (I jumped shoe sizes from 9 to 13 before walking) and my weight is down to 111Kg. The secret I found is to have rest days to allow your body to recover and to set attainable goals where it is more important to do a little consistently than a lot at once with the expectation of instant change. My biggest obstacle is the rapid drop of energy due to diabetes 2 when I exert myself — at first this was not an issue but is now a regular occurrence at around the 4Km mark.

I’m currently walking 5 miles a day, today is the last day of month one (July 31st). Takes me almost exactly 90 minutes.

I’ve had three people randomly start joining me on walks here and there.

Personally I’m down about 10 pounds. I also watch your video every few days to keep motivated.

As a kid from Orlando, now living in Gainesville, I see your Orlando City shirt and feel like we’re family.

Hope you’re doing well man.

I appreciate encountering this honest and upfront post as I am currently on my own explorations in body composition transformation via walking. I have a manual treadmill under my standup desk so that that I may get in movement as I work throughout the day.

I use to be very active before the pandemic and then during the next 2 and some years became sedentary and noticed alterations in my overall well being.
Your video is a great motivator in trusting the process and maintaining consistency in.

Thank you for making this video and sharing it.
