Captain Pike Sees His Future . Creepy Scene

He saw the terrifying future and didn't waver from his duty. The admiral wasn't bullshitting about him being the best of Starfleet.

It was a brilliant move letting Pike know of his less than positive future. It added so much dimension and depth to a character we really weren’t all that familiar with. I dare say not many of us would press on after knowing what was coming for us. Let alone try to accept it. In my book that makes Pike the absolute bravest Captain in Starfleets history.

He’s the best incarnation of pike ever, Jeffrey hunter gave us a look at pike but he was tired worn out character ready to quit starfleet, this pike gives us so much more to different sides of pike, anson mount took this role and made it his own

Not keen on the uniform BUT loved this scene overall. Great that they tie into traditional cannon regarding Pike's fate and the visual update of the original makeup and chair are extremely well done. Bravo. Anson Mount deserves a spin-off

On the bright side, in cannon, Pike ended up going to Kalos 4 and spending the rest of his days with his woman, uninhibited by his body.

If he hadn't done this...Enterprise would never have Captain Kirk...there would be no Enterprise A, B, C, D or E. He secured not just the Federation's future, but Enterprise's and that of her descendants, by not running away from his fate. Pike really is the captain of the Enterprise. Kirk doesn't overshadow him...Kirk's swimming in his wake.

Pike is such a great character now. I feel that he's rivaling and maybe even surpassing some other legendary Trek characters.

In the future, He is severely injured while rescuing several cadets from a baffle plate rupture on board a J-class training vessel, the delta ray radiation leaving him paralyzed, unable to speak, badly scarred

This scene was very well-directed and acted. It sent an absolute chill down my spine, from the visage of the mobile chair in the background to Pike's horrified scream, it's just terrifying in the best way.

Jaysus that's a creepy scene. Id hope with the tech that Discovery has shown they could make him more comfortable if this were his likely future. Very powerful scene really pike in this and hope he gets a spin off

Love this scene. Granted the episode itself said the words Time Crystal so much they kinda lost meaning but other than that, great so and this scene really was the cherry on top of what we saw in the Talos episode.
