This crew is so lucky lol. If the other helmsmen didnt have lungworm, Hikaru Sulu never would have got the helm and they would have jumped into their doom with the rest of the fleet. what a coincidence :D

I think the coolest part of this is that Sulu's mistake basically saved their lives, because the ships that got it right got blown to shit immediately after arriving.

Pike is a big loss to the franchise, I understand the reason he's not there long term but I liked his character in the new films. You'd have thought with the alternate reality maybe they could have kept him

In my opinion the best warp take off scene out of all Star Trek movies. I hate how the Enterprise leaves "Sprinkles" when it achieves warp in movies 2 and 3.
