Karl Urban's portrayal of McCoy is probably the most entertaining piece of acting anywhere in Star Trek. He's not only playing the character perfectly, he's playing Deforest Kelley playing McCoy perfectly. So underrated.

This movie gets flack now for being too mainstream, but honestly this scene/music defined this film for me and got me into the older show. JJ did justice with this one

Damn that score by Mike Giacchino makes this moment absolutely perfect.

This was one of those instant goosebumps moments when I saw it in the theater.

In a decade that gave us Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter snd the beginning of the MCU, this scene stands proud as one of the best moments from the 2000s.

As a long standing Trekkie, I was proud of how this came out. It made fans and believers out of those that wouldn't come near Star Trek. Honestly my theater came to a standing ovation when they showed the Enterprise!

This was my first experience with anything star trek, and just this gave me goosebumps. The enterprise is such a legend, even for those that didn't watch star trek before this movie that is was just an awe inspiring sight to see.

if it wasnt for the kelvin timeline films, i would have never gotten into star trek. they opened the door to a whole world of trek, and im glad these movies were made. made star trek seem fun, and different from other space medias.

Wether you like the updated Enterprise or not… you cannot deny how epic this scene was… it really shows the absolute Majesty the ship emits with its new curvy and modern look. It really does the OG Enterprise justice in my eyes.

I shed manly tears when that ship is revealed. My first ever sci fi experience was Star Trek TNG. Loved Star Trek ever since (even Enterprise)

I only have a casual relationship with the Trek universe at most but seeing this shit in IMAX when it hit theaters was pretty epic

We went opening day to see this movie when the Enterprise was revealed the audience would absolutely crazy. And being that I'm old enough to remember Star Trek 3 The Search for Spock where they lost the original ship it was really a great moment to see the old girl again

So from a size standpoint the pecking order goes

1. USS Enterprise
2. Millenium Falcon
3. Batmobile

My top 3.

I really like that they are just as amazed by these huge spaceships as we'd be.

Grew up a Star Wars fan my whole life, so I never really watched Star Trek. But damn, I felt chills seeing the Enterprise reveal with that awesome score. Can't imagine how amazing the ST fans felt when seeing this.

Favorite scene in the whole film. This alone could've been the trailer

This was my first star trek film and when this scene came, I was stuck with awe. The music, scenery perfect.

The CGI still looks really good for a 11 year old movie.

I know this version of the Enterprise gets a lot of flack for its design, but I absolutely love it. Everything flows just beautifully without altering the extremely iconic profile of the original beyond recognition.
My only complain with it is how the warp nacelles seem to "bend" or "sag" downwards a bit at the rear. It sort of breaks the illusion the original ones created of drawing a straight path that converged in the infinite, which visually reinforced the idea of fast, efficient space travel.
