I’m praying for his full recovery, few people ever encounter such succinct analysis of ideas. Our world needs his inspiration.

JP always looks like he's really paying attention when people speak to him.

I love how Jordan B Peterson records his lectures. That way, his students don't have to furiously scribble down every single word or detail that they think will be a question on a test. They can just listen to him and focus on absorbing the knowledge that he is imparting. So different from many professors these days.

We don’t understand the value of what we have until it’s gone. Missing new Jordan Peterson experiences... May his best be yet to come. This angry world needs his explanations and experience to light up our social darkness.
Be well, Professor. Godspeed to your health.

I try to do this in friendships, but finding the right audience is key. I don’t blame them for finding real conversations disconcerting. Depth is challenge, and quite scary. It’s thrilling for me. It’s not a brag. Painful truths help me grow. Not saying it’s easy or fun. I find myself alone in this goal though. I’m not afraid of a solo journey. I’m looking forward to finding others who are on the same path. I’m hopeful I can find others who want the same discourse.

“We’re having a conversation, im deciding I’m going to listen to you. That’s different than how people generally communicate, because usually when they communicate they’re doing something like. Ok we’re going to have a conversation and I’m going to tell you why I’m right and I’ll win if you agree, or maybe your having a conversation where your, I don’t know what your trying to do, maybe your trying to impress the person your talking too so your not listening to them at all, your trying to think of what you’re going to say next. Ok, so That’s not this, “we’re having a conversation” this is, you might have something to tell me and I’m going to listen on the off chance you’ll tell me something that’s really useful for me to know. - Dr.Jordan Peterson”

This is about having constructive conversations. Listening to the other party. Expressing truth to learn about what you don't know - so as to become better. It's not so much about who is right or wrong, it's more about listening to improve and learn how the conversation can make us better

Peterson is a brilliant philosopher and psychologist. I've long recognized his need to quiet his mind, as I and so many others are in need of the same. Letting go of great ideas and interesting thought is a 'skill' that our society would immensely benefit from. When we become too attached to anything there are repercussions awaiting.

I feel like the difference between watching these lectures and actually attending his classes is that he gives the students homework where they study the sources he cites before attending classes… so this information is an oversimplified summary of what the students are learning.

I know this is a big claim, but I think this is Peterson's greatest moment on YouTube so far.
