As someone who is very blunt, it’s great to learn how to say things in a way that doesn’t ruffle feathers - even when I don’t mean to.

“I need your help knowing how to feel about a comment you made” is such a great way to word it! It’s a genuine & peaceful way to go about a difficult situation. I love this one. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! 👍🏼🙏🏼

You are one of a kind, Mr. Fisher! Your advice not only indicates your intelligence, but also that you have the insight and experience to have developed wisdom and compassion. Those two abilities don't always accompany intelligence. You also care enough to teach others what you have discerned, and I consider that a touch of greatness.

I live with my husband of 50 years. Who responds angrily and annoyed with most conversations I try to have with him I think he actually dislikes me. I've just found your podcast and love it it makes such great sense xx

I wanted to say thank you.
Using this template, along with tips from a number of your shorts videos, enabled me to have a very difficult conversation with my husband last night that I have been putting off for some time.
Leading with, “I need your help in knowing how to feel about something that happened awhile back …” was an absolute game changer in setting the tone and intent for how we proceeded. Even though I was the one hurting and struggling, I took your advice and went into it curious, having something to learn, not something to prove. Throughout I kept reminding myself to focus more on finding and asking the right questions than looking and waiting for the right answers.
It could not have gone better. My husband even thanked me for broaching him about it, when I asked at the end, “So how about you?”
I’ve watched and saved your material for sometime, but last night taught me that the real power is in using it.
Thank you for putting material out there that is pragmatic, helpful, and efficacious.
Take care -

Ask like you are learning…. is a magical approach. Kind eyes and pleasant smile, with a neutral tone…. Is what you role model- when so often we go snarky or emotional

This was so helpful. I like the alternative suggestion though to saying, "I need your help knowing how to feel." Saying that is misleading to the other person because you DO know how you feel, and I think it's undermining to yourself as if your feelings aren't valid.

In a time when we spend endless hours communicating virtually, the art of face to face, eye to eye, communicating in a shared space is so much more demanding. I am so pleased to find this resource where the art of communicating within framed manner makes these moments so much more approachable. Thank you for adding to this void in communication! I appreciate it!
