✅Ingredients

• 2 limes, juiced
• 4 cloves garlic, crushed
• 1/2 cup orange juice
• 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• 1 jalapeno, minced
• 2 tablespoons white vinegar
• 2 pounds flank or skirt steak

✅Instructions
00:00:29 - How to make marinade for carne asada
00:01:55 - How to grill carne asada
00:02:25 - How to slice carne asada against the grain

1️⃣ 00:00:29 - In a gallon size resealable bag, combine lime juice, crushed garlic, orange juice, cilantro, salt, pepper, olive oil, jalapeno, and vinegar. Squeeze it around to mix it up.

2️⃣ 00:01:25 - Put the entire flank steak into the resealable bag. Seal it up tight. Make sure all the meat is exposed to the marinade, squishing the bag around to coat. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.

3️⃣ 00:01:55 - Heat an outdoor grill to high heat.

4️⃣ 00:02:01 - Remove the flank steak from the marinade, and discard excess marinade. Cook on the grill for 7 to 10 minutes per side.

5️⃣ 00:02:25 - Once done, remove from heat and let rest 10 minutes. Slice against the grain, and serve.

Don't waste the cilantro stems they have intense flavor. Use the minced stems for marinade then use the leaves for topping and garnish.

What absolutely love about your videos, they make it so simple & easy to understand. As an old widower, I’ve had to learn how to cook & you made it possible. Thank you so much.

As a Mexican who cooks a shit ton it really shines after a overnight marinade. The acids do a great job and all in all shit slaps. 👏

Thanks for this! I don't have a grill unfortunately but I used a Dutch stove lid and some avocado oil. I never realized orange juice made all the difference. Epic.

I make my carne asada on the stove because I don't have a grill and this is by far the BEST RECIPE I've tried. I didn't tell my family I was trying out a new marinade and they noticed! They all loved it and said it was the best carne asada. The meat was so flavorful. Thank you so much for sharing, I'm so happy I found it.

Looks pretty good and it's a good shot at the recipe! However I wouldn't say it's truly authentic, if you really want to bring those traditional flavors out I recommend the same recipe except add cumin, paprika, oregano, onion sliced/powder, you can sub the salt for soy sauce, maybe add a little beer, and grill with mesquite wood, that last bit being probably the most important! (:

This girl needs to have her own television show. If she did that, Rachael Ray's ratings would drop dramatically. Not only is she gorgeous, but an excellent cook. I have saved quite a bit of money just by learning to cook from her recipes, rather than eating out everyday. You are phenomenal stay at home chef.
