I'm not sure why some believe that people should love their parents unconditionally while these toxic parents exhibit conditional love for their children. Like loving them for who they tell their children to become. There is a difference to love and control. Parents should respect their children for hard choices they are making to live their own life, to become their own person.

Not many people will understand why people cut out parents out of lives and lot of people judge.

Anyone that haves a toxic parent I know how u feel. It sucks having your own dad or mom or maybe both of them bully you. I'am going give you best word advise. Best thing to do is get your life together, get jobs soon as you can, find cheap aparment or get roommates or whatever your way of finding place to stay, and leave soon as you can. Trust me once you leave them you are going feel much better and move on in your life. What he says in video is true because your parent is not going change. If you are a high schooler start get ready to leave your toxic parent.

The unfortunate thing about my parents is they don't think they're doing anything wrong. They know I, as 'the child' in the house, I can do nothing to change their behavior. They want me to cater to their every whim while complaining about the money I don't bring enough in. They yell, scream and belittle every little situation I'm in but get mad when they get a dose of their own medicine. My dad wants to kick me out, but tells me it's too hard to live out there. So it doesn't make sense to want to kick out their 3rd income...

I'm mentally drained and emotionally exhausted. These people are the reason I have depression and suicidal thoughts! I plan to move into a home shelter, just so I won't have to deal with their behavior anymore. Bullies will defend other bullies, especially towards those they know they can harass.

I moved 10, 000 miles away back in 2010..I'm 45yrs old and I will NEVER look back. It was the best decision I could every make and for it every day I am most thankful! I never wanted children because I could not bare the thought of having to introduce them too that side of my family. My life is full and rich. After 20yrs of abuse I had to take my life and run like hell!
