My first down dog was plain brutal, I couldn't feel my shoulders the next day... which was probably fortunate😅
Five months in, yoga has made such a huge difference in my life, far greater and more thorough than I could have expected the first time I stepped onto my mat!

Most important (and most difficult!) thing for yoga beginners is to understand that it's NO sport, NO competition! There's no world championship in yoga like in any other sports😂. You do yoga only for yourself, starting where YOU are, working on YOUR limitations.

I have scoliosis and a partially fused spine. Yoga helps my back pain immensely, but I've had to learn my own limitations and how to modify for myself over time. I love your encouraging, inclusive message!

62 yo. Arthritis, knees and shoulders. Started with chair, now gentle and some intermediate. Could not hold up arms 1st timè did Warrior 1. Now I rearrange my schedule to make class.

Thanks for this video and the words. The Words tell everything. Anatomical Advantages and Disadvantages are the key factor why many people hesitate to try Yoga.
Yoga is for everyone.
Try small and keep it as a routine daily for lifetime.

Thank you so much for your channel. I hope these truths are stated more throughout the yoga community. During my YTT 200 experience, it was so much about good yoga, bad yoga, or what constitutes real yoga. Good yoga being more about advanced postures and how impressive it looked. That's great for some yogis. I totally appreciate and find beauty in that type of practice. However, it's important empathize that every body is different. People practice yoga for many different reasons. How practicing yoga makes you feel internally and externally. It is a true journey to the self.

Hi Charlie! I’ve been practicing yoga for 2 years now. I can feel and see my whole body and flexibility getting stronger every time I get on the mat. But my wrist is still weak and am constantly getting injured. Can you please do a video on what advice you can give us? Thank you🙏
