Wow, I never seen anybody do either of those exercises and I have been powerlifting for 10 years. Amazing

The atg split squat is amazing. I have a kneee injury and the only way I can get my knee to fully bend under any load is with this exercise!(heel and front foot elevated)Also gets a really good stretch at the bottom position. Early days still but I am making notable progress with my pain and range of motion.

I do ATG for my knees, I don't powerlift, and it works great. "Cheeks to Sneaks" in my preferred name for it.

I have chicken legs and worked on my squat for years. I think squats were actually bad for me because my body could not maintain proper position in the bottom. Really excited to work on my mobility and strength in those stretched positions and revisit the squat. I want jacked legs!

I love this… have had SI Joint issues on and off for years mainly due to tight quads and inactive glutes. This stuff is legit!

Great info and explanation. Impressive talent not holding the barbell on your upper back. Would love a training program of how to work these in

This makes a lot of sense. The only restriction I can think of would being back/knee issues not curable in the realm of training.

Amazing. I did Good Morning for the first time today. I herniated two discs many years ago and I was a little reluctant at first. I went light and it felt really good. I have two questions :
1) Is it normal to feel it more in my lower back than my hamstrings and glutes? What does this mean?
2) I keep my back well rounded and my legs wide enough to go deep but I am still a inch off the bench. Will this range of motion improve over time?
3) When your abs touch the bench, your toso is fully horizontal, putting all the weight of the barbell on your back. That being said, on the come up, wouldn't that put a lot of stress on your lower back?

Cheers from Montréal, QC

I could do ATG squat since day one, I was into calisthenics before so maybe that helped. Blessed to be me 🥰
I'm thinking I should practice below parallel squats too??? Because ATG squat numbers are weirdly low compared to deadlift, 105 kgs vs 160 kgs at 80 kgs bw.
