I’m becoming fearful of falling partly because I have friends that are tripping and falling. It’s made me fearful. Now I’m overthinking the falling issue. I’m getting shaky on stepping stool while hanging bird feeders.
This getting older, 75, stinks.
Will is terrific explains EVERYTHING. So thankful for his channel

I had a freak accident almost 3 years ago, fe about 2 feet backwards off my deck. I had to have total elbow replacement surgery. I was in very good health at the time. Sat too much during Covid and developed arthritis in knees. Had right knee surgery in Oct last year. I feel my balance is still off. I will definitely try these exercises. Thank you, Will. I appreciate your site

This makes perfect sense. I took ballet for many years and involves lots of sudden changes in direction. My training has helped me from falling numerous times.

Many thanks. Looking where I put my feet has helped me prevent falls. It was also a problem when I had hypotension and my blood pressure suddenly dropped and I felt giddy. My cardiologist recommended I just steady myself by touching something eg a wall and wait a minute or so until my blood pressure corrected itself. It worked. Your book was helpful. Thanks.

Thank you so much for your wonderful videos. I'm 76 and I've broken my left knee twice. I have osteoporosis and if I fall, I'm pretty sure I'll have another broken bone. I'm going to do your exercises everyday. God bless you.

This is exactly what happened to me last week. Don't even know why but was outside with my sister digging to find a septic cover. Suddenly I was on my hands and knees. I was glad the ground was soft and that I had brown pants on. Each of these tips for building strength and coordination are for me, where I'm at now. Thanks, Vi

74. I do quite a lot of exercises so thought these would be a cakewalk. Not at all! I could do the front fall catch with my legs well but NOT AT ALL sideways. The wall catch was ok but my elbow on my left arm did not want to bend. Thank you for letting me know that I needed to get after these.

I have a fear of tripping due to residual neuropathy damage in my toes following chemo six years ago. Recently started gentle Zumba classes which I find helps, the music takes my attention of my body movements.

Well done, as always. It's amazing how your muscle memory can draw on the practice moves in an emergency.

Hello Will. Thanks for your videos. I find my falls are usually when I am changing direction. Like turning from a bench to the fridge, or often, when standing up from my desk and moving to one side or the other too quickly. I TRY to think more now I have a problem, but just sometimes it just happens. Keep up the good work. Bye from Queensland.

When I was 55, I fell and broke both bones in my lower left leg. I wasn't near a wall, and I couldn't stop myself with the lunge method, since I was tangled up with a vacuum cleaner 😲. Needless to say, I fear falling again. I use avoidance by trying to make every move and step deliberately. And I don't rush. SLOW DOWN!

Thank you so very much, I am so pleased that I found your site. My fear of falling is due previous falls - and the fact that I am over 60. I have bought your book. Wonderful information and exercises, easy to do and confidence building. Also you are so understanding .
