What model Acer is that? I have a KG281K that does the same thing in the Manjaro live media. Really slow to wake up or display anything too.

Bruh I thought this didn't work on my atom netbook but it turns out I just needed to press "FN" key before the function key as in ALT+FN+F2. Thanks mang. It worked.

1)Open terminal
2)sudo -e /etc/default/grub
3)set GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT= "quick splah" to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=
4)press CTRL+X and press Y
5)sudo update-grub to apply the change.
