I tried to run at least three different operating systems in VirtualBox and none of them worked, despite my other computer doing it just fine. It drove me nuts and I didn't think virtualization could be disabled, by default even!

Thank you! If you have a more modern pc just restart it and enter the bios. Go to advanced processor configs and turn on SVM. It worked on my b550 ds3h
