10 EASY (+ 2 Bonus) Tips to Start a Raw Vegan Lifestyle:
✿ 1. Hydrate! Hydration will help you deal with the potential detox effects that may come with the transition. Even though you are naturally going to be eating high water content foods, it is still important to make sure you get in your fluids!
✿ 2. Start off your day with a raw vegan breakfast. Whether this be a juice, smoothie or fruit bowl - doesn’t matter. Whatever makes you feel your best and gives that boost of energy you need to start your day.
✿ 3. Stock up your fridge with raw fruits and vegetables. Get rid of ALL the S.A.D. (Standard American Diet) foods to reduce temptation and falling off your diet.
✿ 4. Find/join a vegan support group. Surround yourself with people that have similar interests in veganism and healthy living that can help motivate you.
✿ 5. Support your local farmers! Farmers markets are great to help you save money and an awesome way to help you connect with your community, ranchers and farmers. It is also great to see how was produced was grown and raised and where your produce is coming from.
✿ 6. Purchase ORGANIC rather than conventional produce at the grocery store. Organic produce ensures that you will get products with no added pesticides and GMOs.
✿ 7. Shop the ORGANIC deals at the grocery store! Grocery stores are constantly rotating the deals, however, when you see them… take advantage of it! This will help you save SO much money!
✿ 8. Educate yourself! Pick up a raw vegan book (“Raw. Vegan. Not. Gross. By Laura Miller” is one of my favorites) or watch a vegan documentary (“Cowspiracy”).
✿ 9. Supplement! There are important supplements that raw vegans, vegans and vegetarians need to thrive on this lifestyle. B12 is one of the most important ones. Iron, Iodine, Vitamin D3 are other nutrients that vegans can be deficient in. Go get your blood levels checked at the doctors before beginning any supplement.
✿ 10. Meal prep! This is important so that you can keep track of your meals throughout the week.

Hello! I am so on board! I will be 60 this year and I'm not worried about loosing friends. Word of advice if you loose friends over food and life style change that means they never was your real friend. But with that being said thank you for this great information. I can't wait to get starred.

So sad to hear about losing people due to this lifestyle. I’ve lost friendships too due to friends not understanding or thinking it’s weird or whatever. I love the way I feel, and look, and It kills me that other people are so judgmental because it’s out of the normal values of society. I love being different and I love eating pure raw vegan food but really do find myself feeling out of place in many settings, it’s one downfall you don’t hear about when transitioning.

Honey! What eyeliner are you wearing it’s gorgeous I love it and I keep trying to veganize my makeup collection. Cuz I don’t want to replace what is there with my old go to products I do want everything vegan eventually. Sidebar I live up the road from the oldest open air market on the US, and they accept snap and ebt it’s super affordable great tip for us all. And you’re right B12 used to available in plants cuz it was in the soil, however with the dust bowl and deforestation and livestock farming it’s been eradicated more and more. And vitamin d is so important as well and it’s best absorbed in the sun. Excellent tip.
