In my husband's first church position, the congregants would come to me if they had complaints about Jeff. He didn't want to listen when i would repeat their concerns to him causing frustrations between us. I learned to step out of my comfort zone and whenever someone would start to complain bout Jeff, I would immediately stop them and tell them that they need to discuss this with Jeff. It was a relief to be out from the middle of it. I also helped him with the small details that some brilliant men just don't see. It is not easy learning to be a pastor's wife!

I don't care if you are a man or woman if you can't trust your partner then you should not be with them. There doesn't even have to be any fighting or arguments about it. It's just as simple as if you don't trust them, don't be with them. No more, no less. This is a conversation she should have had with him before getting pregnant and before getting married to him so a lot of this is on her just as much as it's on him.

9:53 the way she sounds like she's joking about it, I have so many more questions in regards to the first caller. I wish we had both sides of the story. It sounds like he's participating, which is a huge thing for some first time fathers when many don't even do that and get harped on. My husband didn't like all the crying and spittle, but he was still helping. And with baby#2 he's been way more "happy" because he already knew what to expect, it's not like a let down of how he imagined it.

Same for me. I was more frustrated first time around, but I don't have the same unmet expectations this time around.

The first caller is a perfect example of why men shouldn’t get married. Married to the guy for 10 years with him for years before that, now he’s not behaving the way she thinks he should and he hast to change and it’s a problem. The decade before that? Guys unless you’re 100% certain you’re on the same page don’t get married.

Hard lonely life, she and that baby will be left behind, never as important in the shadow of his greatness. Plaything to the real thing, is a shift he needs to master pdq or that marriage is gonna downhill slide fast. His "celebrity" status is not condusive to home and family, that entitlement needs fixed fast.

Can we talk about how you're villainizing the husband and making it sound like being a parent should come naturally? Maybe this dude read books and played w/ other babies or whatever and still wasn't prepared. Thing is, sometimes you're just not. NO ONE, and idc how ready you think you are, no one is ready for a baby. It just takes longer for some people to understand.

Why on earth did that church hire that guy as a youth pastor? Either he's meant to be in that position and learn or the church didn't vet him properly for the position.
